We had the pleasure of sitting down with the lovely Shelby Coleman for a short Q and A.
Mr. Dapper: Hi Shelby thank you for taking the time to chat with us. Tell us a little bit about yourself, I know that you’re a model and your from Chicago but how did you get discovered? What is your background and or anything else that we should know about you?
Shelby: I got discovered by Giambattista Valli when I was 16 and went to Paris to walk in his show. I did a shoot for him then quickly got signed to IMG. I then went to Niles North high school and after a year left to get home schooled. I’m kind of a mutt. I’m black, Irish, and Native American.
Mr. Dapper: Nice mix.. so was your early modeling career the reason for your home schooling?
Shelby: My high school was super strict about me missing so many days. Homeschooling was hard but I got my diploma!
Mr. Dapper: That’s what I thought. so who do you get mistaken for?
Shelby: Selita Ebanks. Which is a huge compliment obviously.
Mr. Dapper: I agree she is hot.. What is your favorite body part or trait about yourself?
Shelby: I like my freckles and my legs.
Mr. Dapper: We love legs and freckles…
Mr. Dapper: What’s the biggest turn off?
Shelby: Biggest turn off is too much cockiness! Yuck!
Mr. Dapper: So a little cockiness is ok?
Shelby: Confidence is definitely acceptable! Cockiness is not.
Mr. Dapper: Name 3 celebs that would make up the PERFECT mate?
Shelby: Michael Ealy, Johnny Depp, and Idris Elba. YUM.
Mr. Dapper: Favorite body part on the opposite sex?
Shelby: Arms.
Mr. Dapper: What’s more important – the face or the body?
Shelby: Neither. How he treats me is most important.
Mr. Dapper: Any relationship advice you can offer?
Shelby: Small things impress me. Once a boyfriend would only let me walk on the inside of the sidewalk while he walked on the side closer to the street. I didn’t even know that was a thing.
Mr. Dapper: What one thing can you not live without?
Shelby: I can’t live without peanut butter.
Mr. Dapper: Do you know how to tie a tie?
Shelby: I do! When I was younger my brother told me I was stupid for not knowing how to tie one. So I learned!
Mr. Dapper: Would you rather make dinner or breakfast?
Shelby: Dinner because you can serve it with wine
Mr. Dapper: It was nice getting to know you Shelby. Thanks for chatting it up with us.
Shelby: Always a pleasure Mr. Dapper
